A Day in Abu Dhabi

bu Dhabi is a City which is great if you are looking for Luxury Travel, but it’s not the most backpacker friendly, everything is pricey as expected. The City is very modern with an Impressive skyline, the Architecture of the buildings is great, and in the evening the City has a buzzing feeling as its lit up with screens and lights.

If you like shopping, luxury hotels and dining it’s the perfect place to be, there are huge fancy shopping malls, with all the big brands you can think of.

Abu Dhabi is also home to the grand Mosque πŸ•Œ which is an highly impressive structure,  it’s huge building with its own shopping mall and food court. It’s got a huge fountain β›² and when it gets dark and it’s lit up it’s an incredible sight. Unfortunately because of a short stop over we got there too late to go inside,  the Mosque is open to visitors between 9am and 9:30pm and we’d just missed the window πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ.

The roads in Abu Dhabi are a huge contrast from Cairo,  because of the cost of Taxi’s πŸš– in the City it made more sense to hire a car πŸš™. Driving out of the airport I immediately felt comfortable with the roads and traffic. Big wide roads, generally with 4 lanes make it easy to get around. But there are lots of Cameras and Tolls so keep an eye on the limits.

Bye Bye Egypt πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¬ Hello Abu Dhabi
