Anahm Day 3 started out nice, a wam wunny day with a gentle ride through the Austrian countryside past the meadows where the sound of music was filmed. But was the toughest day of this ride with some big climbs coming out of Innsbruck in Austria heading towards the Italian border in Brenner and the weather getting very wet on the steepest section just outside of Insbruck with all the Gear on the bike it was a tough climb, but in hindsight the cooling rain was probably a blessing in disguise. By the time I’d got to Brenner the sun was out the views of the Alps were Epic and there were some Amazing decents through the Italian Alps, it’s a magical feeling flying down some big hills and feeling the wind cool you down when the heat has picked up. What started out as a tough day turned into a very rewarding day of cycling.
