Snorkeling 🤿 above the USAT Liberty Shipwreck 🚢, Tulamben, Bali, Indonesia

The USAT (United States Army Transport) Liberty was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in 1942, and the 120-meter Shipwreck now lays just off the coast of Tulamben. The wreck is very popular with people snorkelling, freediving, and diving at the site all the time.

It’s was a 5 min walk from the hotel and a short swim from the beach. It’s amazing to see how it’s transformed, with coral growing all over the ship and a huge amount of marine life swimming into and around the wreck. It’s a magnificent experience, the scale of it is huge, it is busy with lots of divers and snorkellers exploring the site.
